Sweet things

Oh the girls are growing so fast! It is so sad. Lauren does not like lawn mowers. She will run and hide and point them out everywhere when we are in the car. Well tonight I was cooking dinner, Chris was mowing, and the girls were playing and I am sure somewhere along the way torturing George. Anyway Maya has hit the 'mommy MUST hold me at all times' stage. She was crawling after me. She stopped under the kitchen table as Chris was taking a pass by the back door. Poor thing just started screaming. Lauren crawled under the table and rubbed her back telling her 'it's ok Maya. Daddy mow yard. Mommy take care of you.' I almost burst into tears. My 2 year old is getting so big. She is a GREAT big sister. It has been wonderful to watch her grow from 'what is that thing you brought home with you' to this. Another funny thing she did this week. Friends of ours were over the other day playing, they have a 2 year old and a 4 month old. The baby started fussing, he was tired. Lauren looked at me and said 'mommy give him medicine' I looked at her and she said 'you know like Maya' In her mind we gave Maya medicine whenever she cried and it made it all better. There is just a little more to that story but of course she doesn't understand that.
