ahh...
It's 8:42 and what is that sound I hear?? SLEEPING children! It is wonderful. Today was basically the first Easter for both girls. While we did receive Lauren ON Easter last year the poor little girl was so rattled. And then when we got back to the states it was well after Easter. Our Easter dinner last year was Pizza, this year a tad more traditional and with family. Last night when I tucked Lauren in I told her while she was sleeping the Easter bunny was going to visit and he brings toys and candy. She was very excited. This morning she remembered and asked if he had come it was so cute. And as promised the Easter bunny brought toys and candy. She was mostly concerned that he brought beans with him. That would be a jelly bean. So frantically last night we went digging thru the candy and put purple jelly beans in her basket. She was thrilled. She was very hopped up on sugar and crashed as we walked up the steps. Didn't even care if she got a story tonight or not. :-) She is talking up a storm. The most exciting thing right now in her little world is the swing set her dad and Papa are putting up in the yard. It is huge and they are trying but in her eyes not hard enough. She keeps yelling swing!! and her dad keeps saying I swear I am working on it! Quite funny. She loves school. Last week was her first week. Tuesday it took me 41 minutes to get her to leave. Thursday she was ready but daddy was with me and she was sooooo happy to see him. Maya could have cared less. It is very hard to get excited about the Easter bunny at 11 weeks. :-) She does however like the toys we got her. A little rattle and some stuff for her car seat to keep her awake (hopefully). She is getting into a routine now and it is so nice!! We were aiming for an 8 pm bedtime and we got her there at 8:15 last night and 8:10 this evening. Not bad. She is feeling better now that we got her acid reflux under control. Poor kid. I feel so bad that she suffered for so long before they figured it out.
