Ears

So as soon as I get them up today (BTW Maya was knocking on our bathroom
door) I get hit with so when are we going to the mall to get our
earrings mom well we have classes today so it will be later. Yes I
was blowing it off. I walk IN to school today and Lauren yells
later I am off to get my ears pierced so I get them in the car (it is
raining. the LAST thing I want to do is go to the mall) and they are
going 'let's go let's go' so I asked again if it was what they really
wanted and they both said yes. I gave them the choice of before or
after nap and the answer was right now mom. So I drive to the mall in
the pouring rain. We get out and I make everyone hit the bathroom
first. In the mean time they change their minds until Miss Maya sees
all the earrings. She wants this....that...and the other Pair. Well
sweetie you need to have your ears pierced first. Fine she crawls up in
the chair picks out a pair and 5 seconds later and only one tear she is
done and gets 2 lollipops. Lauren on the other hand is NOT falling for
this. No way no how. I am talking with Maya as I am paying for this
and telling her how cute her earrings are and she is showing me all the
pairs she wants. Lauren gets that look. You know THAT look. I ask
what is wrong and she says I want to be like Maya. Ok. She she crawls
up in the chair. She got them done but I am pretty sure the whole mall
heard her. They are both fine and super proud of their pink daisy ear
rings. They do it way different then when I got them done. Of course
that was 30 years ago but they had an actual gun they used today
it is this very tiny thing. No loud noises no gun. Very nice.
