Happy New Year

again a bit late. But Happy New Year wishes all the same. Hope 2009 treats you well. It has been crazy around here....so much so that we celebrated my birthday a week early, since next Monday is just to crazy to think about. The girls were excited none the less. Daddy improvised and lit a candle and sent Lauren to the moon! But daddy she is NOT 3. Age is important until you hit, say 21, then after that it is all just numbers and your pretty grateful when another one comes up! But when you are 4 it is all consuming...as is who is older me or.....and let me tell you the right answer is always 'yes dear you are older' because when she isn't it crushes her. Her little friend 'c' has a birthday Tuesday and he will be 5. Ack he is OLDER than her. Daddy tried to tell her they were basically the same age and a few months were not all that important. Just so you know he failed completley and we were still discussing it at bed time. lol Then she asked who was older me or daddy. daddy, by 5 WHOLE YEARS. And here is where it gets amusing. Mommy doesn't that upset you? Not at all. I had no way of explaining this to a 4 year old but this year especially I am finding it very amusing that daddy is 5 years older. HE will be 40 this year. Not me! He of course could care less but I am still enjoying it. I am also enjoying the first few grey hairs of his. It is only fair since he has teased me forever about mine.
