Canberra

One thing our family loves is car trips!  I know crazy right?  My inlaws live 10 hrs from us so it is just something they are used too. Put them in a car with some movies and headphones and off we go.

We started off in Canberra. This is the Aussie version of DC. Keep in mind though that AU is a young country compared to the US. So everything is on a smaller scale. I loved learning about world history from another perspective. In fact I had no idea at the time of Pearl Harbor there was another sub in Sydney Harbor. They were detected though and chose to implode the sub. The Aussies left it there in a watery grave as to not disturb the deceased. History was always my favorite subject but that was something I never knew.

We toured parliament and learned how it worked. Very different from our system.

Of course we ate some awesome food too!  I think my highlight from that would be Jamie Oliver's restaurant. The food was wonderful!!
