Part of our holiday break was spent in Sydney. It is a beautiful city.
We took a dinner cruise along the harbor. A bit touristy but the kids had never been on something like that and they really enjoyed it.
I splurged and bought tickets to the Opera House for NYE. The Opera was wonderful. I have a wonderful Aunt the introduced me to the Opera, the Ballet, and the symphony. I was so fortunate to have her to influence my life. We stayed for the fireworks. We had seen it on the news every year. But to see it in person...words fail me. It was just....wow. I also learned there are 2 separate sessions of fireworks. One at 9 and one at midnight. Who knew?!
You can not go to Sydney and not check out Bondi beach. Not sure what the fuss is about. It is a nice beach BUT the day we were there they we inundated with blue jellyfish. It seemed to be the luck of draw as to whether or not you got stung , luckily we did not, but we go to the point we were just done.
We also had the opportunity to climb the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Believe it or not we had had lovely weather the entire time we had been gone. That is until we climbed the bridge lol. It poured....sideways....as we arrived at the top. We still had a blast and I am so proud of our family. 2 of us dislike heights and we pushed thru and made it to the top!
