Snow

Apparently snow gets more enticing the older you get. Last year Lauren wanted NOTHING to do with the snow. She would always cry when we wanted to go outside and when we asked what was wrong she'd say 'cold' with this look like you two must be crazy to want to go out in this. Well this morning we woke up to a bit of snow. Not even enough to classify it as a dusting. She thought we were going to go make a snow man. I asked with what. In her mind there was plenty of snow. Sure...if we got all the snow in the sub gathered up we have been able to make a very small one. She was, thankfully, over this by the end of breakfast. So now we are a bit passed Christmas and I can tell you Lauren's favorite toy this year was her Dora Treehouse. She loves that it is her own space and she can get some peace and quiet from Maya. Maya is the typical little sister and follows Lauren around all the time. Sometimes Lauren is OK with it but today she just wanted to be alone. She has a pretty nice set up in there. My pillows from the couch ended up in there and a blanket she got for Christmas. She curled up in there today and read books for a long time. Maya was really bugging her. I felt bad for Maya though. Tonight she tried to go in with Lauren and she moved the wrong way and it collapsed on her and scared her. Maya's favorite are these maracas. They are from Leap Frog and they make all kinds of noises. She just holds them and smiles. Maya is looking more and more like her dad everyday. When she smiles it just has daddy written all over it!
